I attend a variety of conferences, seminars, and workshops every year to feed my curiosity, increase my knowledge, and better serve my clients. In recent years these have included topics such as vaccination safety, interpretation of laboratory tests, medicinal herb identification and use, and eating disorder issues. I subscribe to a wide variety of professional publications, as well as Consumer Lab, Natural Standard, and Elsevier, which grant me access to professional studies, journals, and information. My personal and professional interests overlap and I belong to Slow Food USA and the Nature Conservancy, and support several groups that promote practical social responsibility such as the Heifer Foundation, and organizations which seek to protect our environment, food, and health.
